Re: your crossbreed

She is a really lovely looking dog, I just find it hard to believe her mum was a jack russell - I didn't think it was possible!

Re: your crossbreed

He could have been on bended knees. The mating was witnessed, well the end was.

The owner had gone to the shop, and her daughter had been staying with her on holiday (daughter is grown up) and didn't think the bitch was still in season, let her out, the deed was done. The owner came back from to witness the end of mating ... she rang the rspca who the dog had originally come from (she hadn't got her from there but had been kind enough to rehome the dog from someone else, which is another story), they told her that the bitch probably wouldn't have caught but they got her a vets appointment anyway. Anyway to cut a long story short the pups were born on their due day and the GSDxBC was the only dog that had been anywhere near her whilst she had been in season. The bitch was round, her feet only just reached the floor when she was carrying them, the rspca helped the owner out with all the things she'd need for the bitch when she was ready and the rspca vet was on hand for when she had the pups as well, the woman from the rspca who came to visit her was their when the pups were born, they were all reasonable sized and very healthy. They were normal sized for JR pups but they all had big feet. Katie is about as tall as a lab, but she's got traits from all 3 breeds in her. If I hadn't seen the bitch I'd not have believed it either, lol, but she looks like a bigger, heavier version of her mum with a lot more black on her.
