Smile Crestie Poo I could not believe it

I went to a car boot today as you do on a sunday afternoon.
When this lady had a lovely hairless bitch, only thin that made me laught was the really dodgy perm it had for a crest. I asked the lady what happened to your Chinese Crested dog's hair, she looked really shitty at me and said this was her Pedigree Crestie Poo. Pedigree!!!! i said yes she told me she had paid £1,200 for it and it was pedigree as she had five generations with it a full pedigree Hairless and a pedigree Poodle. I had to laugh and told her to come home with me and I would sell her a real chinese crested which is Kc reg.

I do not kow alot about these Crestie Poo's but how it is that they are Pedigree and cost so much. May be I am just being silly but this one looked like My chinese crest's but with a bad perm. Are they meant to look like that?

Re: Crestie Poo I could not believe it

Some people seem to be selling chinese cresteds that they cant sell as poodle, crested crosses!..Seems they sell quicker and fetch more money! numpties..

The hairless chinese cresteds can have different type cresteds but not often..Its normally like horse hair as you will know with the true hairless..But the hairy hairless do have a thicker crest!

A chinese cresteds cross litter can produce hairless (same as a puff and a hairless i spose)..SO the pup you saw could have been the exact same as the chinese cresteds hairless but its crest may have took the coat type of the other breed!
NO one can say if thats what there ment to look like as you cant tell what a pup from a cross litter will turn out to look like.

It is said that years back poodles were added to a chinese cresteds breeding programme and im led to belive thats to do with the coat type of the puffs! witch imo is a complete joke as we dont want curly coated puffs as thats not what there ment to be!

Re: Crestie Poo I could not believe it

Some of them are just getting crazy. Tonight outside of Sainsbury's I was sitting with Blu and Cheeko and a woman came up and asked what Blu was crossed with and I said 'A miniature poodle..' and she said 'Yes I know he has poodle in him but what else?' so I just looked at her rather anoyed and said 'Miniature poodle' and I think she took the hint and walked off. People always think Cheeko is a poodle/bishon cross because he is white

Re: Crestie Poo I could not believe it

Bless the little thing, it really did look like a chinese crested body with a poodle head. strange I have to say I prefer my little chinese crested puppies now they are cute. lol. I like my chinese crested to be pure and my Poodles to be pure too. I know not the right answer in some peoples eyes. But this lady was so riped of why not just by one or the other ? makes no sense

Re: Crestie Poo I could not believe it

Im not keen on poodles anyway! I love my cresteds and have since the day we brought our first two resuces home a few years back!
I think people think there getting the "in" thing when buying these crosses! but then some do want them as just pets! chinese cresteds are seen as a glamour thing anyway! so to cross them to something else seems to make people think there more glamorous....
Im glad you are liking the cresteds its nice to know a new cresteds owner has taken to them well

Talking Re: Crestie Poo I could not believe it

Daft people think that these are actual pedigrees though! Just shows how much research they put into their chosen 'breed' then doesn't it?
