Does anyone else feel guilty.........

that they don't do enough with their dogs?

My guys (3 rescues) need so much more socialisation on top of their exercise, but I just can't fit it all in.

They all need to be worked on seperately. They all need to go to different parks so to see lots of dogs and people, high streets and two of them need to attend training classes, as well as me spending time with them training one on one.

I feel so guilty at times, but it is difficult when I have a demanding full time job. I just wish I could do more

Does anyone else feel like thiis?

Fair point but I'd rather be in this position, than think of them stuck in a rescue centre........

No problem. Trouble is I can always do more and feel as though I should.

I know I took on a lot with them, but I am a softie when it comes to dogs and don't always think with my head.

Re: Does anyone else feel guilty.........

I am around most of the time so mine are rarely alone for very long and they are in and out with me when I am working with the horses etc but I dont spend all that much time actually just with them which would be nice to do I think.
I took them to a fun show today and it was such fun and they both behaved very well for such poorly socialised dogs, in fact their behaviour was impeccable and Floss (11 year old) won 3 firsts, 2 of them with a strange girl who handled her. I do think it does them good to do stuff like that but there are not many opportunities.
I am sure your dogs get plenty of attention.

Wow that's a great result getting 3 first prizes. You must have done well with her in order to get those results.

Thanks x

Re: Does anyone else feel guilty.........

yes i do

Bear has some problems which are rubbing off on zeb, up until the end of the month i dont really have enough time to get stuck in to sorting it solidly, i can only do small amounts of dealing with it (youngest is starting school and only doing half days by the time i drop her off i have time to walk them and do the house work, then pick her up give her lunch, then pick up my son from school!)

i do feel guilty sometimes but i know that when i have time it is theres and will sort these problems out as much as i can and it wont be for to much longer

I guess im lucky in a way as i ama stay at home mum so once they are at school all day i have from 9-3 to sort the dogs out
