Re: Does anyone else feel guilty.........

I worry about mine now - they always had Brian at home and spent alot of the day with free access to the garden - now because he's not here anymore they have to have a more regimented lifestyle and are left alone as I have to work full time. Mon-Thurs evenings they get 1 1/2 hour walk, obviously more Fri/Sat and Sun and I do separate training at home with them but I'd still like to have more time with them. Getting rid of them just isnt an option as they are my total reason for existing atm

your dog's have each other when your not there, Bet they feel just as loved as they would if you were there 24/7. Bit like children we never quite feel we've done enough do we really

Yep I guess you're right BM - they seem happy enough and I know they're healthy enough so I'll just carry on doing my best

Re: Does anyone else feel guilty.........

No, I don't, and I wouldn't get another dog if I didn't think I could give him what he needed. There are too many rescues, we can't help them all anyway. Of course we could all make it a bit better by taking in 10 each, but I am not sure it would be a good thing after all... Even if we wanted to, and the thought is a good one...

Re: Does anyone else feel guilty.........

Why don't you get any help, btw? I'd love to take one or two of them for a walk if you live in the Oxford area. I have no job atm., and my own dog doesn't come until three weeks.
So I consider taking on some dogwalking/sitting/anything, either cheap or for free...

Re: Does anyone else feel guilty.........

I live in Yorkshire

And anyways having the breed I have I wouldnt feel comfortable letting anyone else take them out - whether it's their fault or not we know who ALWAYS gets the blame if there's a problem
