water dogs????

Reno seems to have an obsession with picking up his water bowl and then lobs it, usually over his brother We also have a largish plant pot in the garden that is empty apart from rain water and he loves to stand his two front paws in it and scratch away, slopping water every where i thought i had huskamutes not water dogs am going to get them a paddling pool tomorrow.

Re: water dogs????

Mine spent Saturday all day in and out of the paddling pool - thankfully it was an oldish one that we found while sorting the shed out and yep you guessed it today its off to the tip LOL
Mine love to scrat at the bottom for their toys - but what did it was that it was a rigid sided pool and while playing retrieve one of them stuck a stick they were playing with through the side - when they saw the water poor out they scratted it even more....LOL
So I am looking at the fish pond kind of pool - the hard plastic type that they cannot wreck!!!!!!
I didnt get any pics as we were busy in the garden but will do when we get another - share some pics when you let yours into the pool - they have loads of fun....just make sure your room doors are shut.......mine thought it funny to try to run through the house wet through so all doors had to be closed......

Re: water dogs????

We have a paddling pool on the patio for the dogs, Milo loves to fetch toys and stones from the bottom by scratching and bobbing his head under the water, none of the others are that interested though, I think Jayjay will get into eventually.

I take it a Huskamute is a Husky X Malamute?

Re: water dogs????

The fish pond idea is a good one, it might be poss to pick one of them up cheap at the local recycling centre, i know mine do that sort of thing. will post some photos when we get one, will be great to see others of theirs. yes the huskamute name is just an easier way of saying their cross breed,
