Re: Chews for puppies

Have you tried the Nylabone edibles (puppy ones)? They're a bit expensive, bit Ginny loves them. She only has about 1 a week though - each one lasts a few days as I take it away once she leaves it. I also give her the pressed or twisted rawhide, which keeps her quiet for ages. Also another thing to try is dried tripe sticks (recommend outside eating only due to extreme pong) but again, keeps her quiet for ages. Ginny is also 14 weeks.

Otto loves his edibles too. I break them in half and only give him one piece at a time as I got bored of taking soggy edible out of his mouth when I thought he'd had enough, and he was getting so fast at eating them the whole thing would disappear in seconds if I wasn't careful!

Re: Chews for puppies

I always give my chihuahua's raw hide chew but i get them bigger not the little tiny ones, the ones i get are the cigars, and the knotted bones, when they starting to go very white and floppy and white then I take them up and put them to one side and leave them to go hard again, then give them a new one, then i swap between the two lots, obviousley I dont keep them for more that 4 days (i throw them out them and buy new). But I always watch them, I dont leave them with anyones that are soggy, they will choke on them.
