pooooooo !!

Ok as much as i LOVE Milly, she is driving me nuts re; poop !! this morning i got up to find that she had pooped, and stood in it got it all over her bed and blankets ARRRGH! how can i solve this poop problem how can i make sure she doesnt stand it it, as shes so fluffy it gets stuck to her paws etc so i had to stand her in the bath this morning and wash all 4 paws lol (she was'nt best pleased)
she sleeps in her puppy pen with her bed at one ed and her puppy pad (toilet) at the other end, i just dont see how to get round it

Re: pooooooo !!

You may have to set your alarm to get her up and out a few times during the night if shes going then

what times her last let out for toilet at night?

Zeb was around 14weeks before he could hold over night and Bear will still have some accidents if hes allowed full roam of the house he'll poop over night if we dont the stair gate at the bottom of the stairs and hes 9.5months

You can also take out the puppy pad anjd make her crate smaller byt getting a divider as dogs dont like to toilet in thier bed area

Re: pooooooo !!

Personally I'd get rid of paper and pads, all you're teaching her is it's okay to go in the house, you'll have to re teach her to break this learned behaviour. At 8 weeks old she can't hold herself over night!!!

As a rule of thumb... take her out, after her food, after a sleep, after playing... set your alarm 2 or 3 times a night take her out with til she does something, and repeat.

Never scold her for messing, move her out of the room and clean it up without her seeing it. Praise her hugely when she does it outside.

It's not easy for you in the begining, but a few weeks of broken sleep is better than months of frustration and mess IMHO!
