I replied to a post on our local ads for a yorkie pup....this is what I got back...

Thanks for the mail and the interest on my puppies,i just got a New
job .I have come to discover that My New Job
does not give me much Time to look after my babies.they find much
difficulties in
staying in the house all alone,and due to the nature of my work,I find much
difficulties in taking care of them,so I want to give them to any caring family/
pet lover or a Christian home where they will be well taking care of..they
are is just 11weeks old
so gentle to kids, a very good companion at home, they are good with other house
pets.they are vet checked,KC registered and up to date on all their
sorts.they will
run and play like 3year old kids.they have very good temperament with kids and
other pets at home they will make a very fine house pet.This little guys love to
run and play, Likes to stop and smell flowers.. they will be coming
along with a 1-year
health guarantee, they also come along all her playing toys, including
their menu
booklet.
they have been
home raised with lots of TLC and pre-spoiled for their new home and
they are very
friendly..they are an excellent example of an extreme lovely
babies.they are already
willing to go to their new pets loving and caring home.
I WILL LIKE TO ASK YOU THIS QUESTIONS JUST TO BE SURE THE KIND OF HAND MY BABIES
ARE GOING TOO.
1)What do you do for a living(the kind of job you do?This is to be sure that
you can take good care of her.
2)Do you have kids and do they love pets?
3)How good is your Environment for pets?
4)How soon do you need this puppies?
5)Have you ever had puppies at your home before(that means have you ever breed
a puppies before?)
6)Would you love to have the male or female?
7)Where are u located?
Please I just want to make sure I am given my babies to good hands o.k.

Why do people do these things and what are they hoping to gain by it...i wonder if anyone followed through with this if there was some poor puppy at the end of it...

It may not be,but the way its worded just sounded a little odd to me...I may reply just to see what happens!

Iv seen a few scam posts on here and they are worded similarly..It may just be me being weird!

I agree it sounds a bit 'odd' but it could be different factors, maybe they are not english hence spelling/wording? They do seem to ask a lot of information but they could b being responsible owners?

I don't know - just a thought?

you can always tell if it is a scam as they ask for money first.i found a parrot on the net and they wanted 190 pound up front i was like no way man bring the bird and have all the money .some people are just in it for the money other do actually care for the animals future ...

As long as you don't part with any money upfront then you won't lose anything by answering. I agree, English might not be their first language. Our pup came from a Polish couple and they were lovely. We went to see her in her home and then paid them when we decided we wanted her.

I think it sounds like a scam -trying to make out they are caring dog owners.
Why would they be rehoming an 11 week old puppy? surely you'd know if your cirumstances were likely to change that much.
I think there is most likely no actual puppy or if there is then it's puppy farmers with an elaborate cover story.

E-mail back and ask if the mother can be viewed with the puppy, if they sat no and/or ask for money up front then you'll know 100%

Be careful , i contacted someone about pups and the reply was alot like that , the questions were very alike too, ask as many Q's as you can think of, most of the time they dodge your questions . They then ask for full address, phone number and full name and usually mention they will deliver and need money up front to give to the delivery company for successful delivery of the pup to you door. probs from cameroon
