Re: brushing teeth

I don't brush Bailey's teeth.
He gets some kind of denta chew thing each week.
Or sometimes has a denta stick every day.

And his teeth are lovely and white!

Same with my boys.

i tried to brush a dog's teeth once and i couldn't do it - Woody's - when he was a pup. I couldn't do it then. and i know i couldn't do it now.

So there we go, a dentastix for each of the boys instead

Re: brushing teeth

denatstix here aswell

or bones

The benefits are nice (ish!) breath, nice clean teeth, the risk of mouth problem/teeth decay are lower and thus saving you money as to remove a rotten tooth is hundreds of pounds and not normally covered by insurence

Re: brushing teeth

I prefer the Royal Canin dental chews. Dentastix give mine the trots.

Mine have white rawhide or fresh bones. At almost 10 and 11, they have perfectly clean teeth. No longer bright white, but no horrible buildup.

Re: brushing teeth

I brush Henry's daily. When I got him at 7months he already had plaque on some of the back ones and brushing makes a big difference (as a chi I believe they often have teeth issues). He resisted at first but he loves the toothpaste so he lets me do it with no fuss no! I use Dog a Dent by Beaphar.
