Some Suprising Information...

Well yesterday, Me and my mum was hunting through Hollies papers from the kennels to find some surprising information that explains quite a bit about her!

The kennels we got Hollie from told us that she was 3 years old and that she had been spayed, as me and my mum was looking through papers yesterday, we found her date of birth was actually 19.03.07... Hollies just turned one in march (we found a book hidden within another book that we hadnt come across), we also have the stamps in the book from the vet from her first puppy injections that date being march 07 and run out march 08

We also don't have any proof from the kennels that she has been spayed, so were not sure if she has been spayed yet either, going to take her to the vets again to see if she has or not, and get that sorted =]

But yeah! A bit of a surprise I must say

Cant you contact the vet thats on the vaccination card to see if she was spayed? Does she have a scar?

Re: Some Suprising Information...

We got her from Ramshaw Rescue Centre in West Auckland, Durham... Its a fab little Kennels really clean and all the dogs are well looked after and such, but it would of been nice if they told us how old she actually was and they also lost her pedigree papers so we never got them either!!

Re: Some Suprising Information...

This happened to someone i know - the vet said that they only way to tell is if they have been spayed is to open her up again and the cost is the same as if you were having her spayed.

Ah, well cant really afford to get that checked out at the moment, do they still come into heat if they have been spayed? I've heard that they can but others say that they dont

Re: Some Suprising Information...

can't the vets do a ultasound or other scan to see instead of having to put her through surgey she might not need, but given her age she might not have been, my breeder I got my dog said that the girls and boys shouldn't been done until they are at least a year old

sorry missed this post.. My mum did say maybe some sort of x-ray/ scan could be an option as I don't want to put her through surgery to check if she's been spayed, I'll take her to the vets and see what options we have to find out!!
