Until about a year ago they started fighting but not often, just when there was another dog came by on the other side of the fence. The labrador who has never been socialized with other animal turned to the beagle and started fighting. The beagle was obviously loosing but she wouldnt back down eventhough I pulled the labrador out and she seems to have calmed down the beagle still barking madly as if she didn't want the labrador to calm down.
but this last two weeks (or even less) they fought three times already and the fights didn't cause by present of other dog. they were trying to get out of the door for an evening walk and when the door was open instead of running out as usual they turned to each other.
i dont know if this is relevant. it is very hot this week. about 38-40 c.
also, the vet just discovered last month that the beagle has knee problem and will need an operation in near future.
thank you very much in advance

It is really not possible to advise on aggression over the internet. Only after direct observation can meaningful advice be offered.
It is possible, given that the incidents have always been at moments of high excitement, that you are looking at redirected aggression. If so you will need to ascertain and avoid the triggers but professional advice is your best bet.
