Microchipping / Tattooing

Quick and simple; Are your dogs microchipped and/or tattoed?

All three of ours are microchipped, Milo was done by the RSCPA before we got him and we had the two pups done at the same time as they had their second vaccinations done.

We haven't had any of them tattooed and don't know anyone that has either! Would be interested to see if anyone on here has had it done!

Re: Microchipping / Tattooing

most of ours are now micro-chipped got to get the new baby done but will let him settle first!! We had one with a tattoo once but it was the hardest thing to read ever had to shine a torch behind her ear and keep it shaved on the inside

Re: Microchipping / Tattooing

All the dogs are chipped and both the horses are too.

I also chipped all my pups before they went to their new homes,i then registered their KC number to their chip so they can be identified even if the owners move and dont update theri records.

Re: Microchipping / Tattooing

Searching the net the statistics indicate that only 2% of cats and 15-20% of lost dogs are reunited with their owners while 80-90% of microchipped animals are reunited with their owners!
