Do you feel guilty?

I will be picking my puppy up in about 4 weeks, I always said that I would rescue and not buy but it turns out I couldnt find anything close to what we were looking for.

I feel terribly guilty about this, that I have denied a rescue dog a home...does anyone else feel this way???

It is not too late to change your mind. Try being a bit less picky!

She has a conscience, there is nothing wrong with that!

No need to get a pup when there are thousands and thousands of dogs sitting in a cage day after day, week after week with little chance of getting a home they so desperately want.

There are many people on here who work for re-homing centres, you could get advice from them.

well the decision is already made, it was a very very hard one for me to be honest. I can tell there are some people who object quite strongly to buying eeekk I was just wanting to know how other people felt xxx

I know what you mean, when we decided to get number 3, we had our name down with a breeder for 2 years, and really wanted to have a go at showing. But felt ever so guilty about not getting a rescue.
Perhaps your next dog could be a rescue enjoy your new addition

I know it sounds quite harsh, but a lot of us have rescue dogs and those of us that do, feel very strongly about breeding and not rescuing. You were very brave putting this post on.

There is a rescue dog out there for you, but you do have to take advice from the re-homing centre, as what you want, may not be suitable. x x
