going abroad with your dog- advise please
Hello,
I would really apreciate some advice on going abroad with my dog, he is up to date on all vacc's and worming and tick control, but wondered if there was any one on the site that had taken a holiday with their pet. We know we have to get passport and rabies jab we will speak with our vet on that, but just wanted some hints and tips really. If it gets to complicated we can just leave him with my mum  We were thinking of going to France in a camper/mobile home.

Depends on when you are thinking of going it takes about 6 months to get a pet passport - someone we sold a dog to has just come back in her camper with her dogs from abroad and had a great time but I know it did take a while for all the paperwork.
have a look at the DEFRA site it gives you all the necessary hth
