Re: Do you leave your dog in the car???

My koda has to go practically everywhere with me. If I start to put my shoes on he jumps up and grabs me, barks furiously. If it is too hot I leave the air conditioning on, if too cold (we are in MT), I leave the heat on. I see no harm as long as I keep him comfortable.

Re: Do you leave your dog in the car???

nope, never have...storms a bit too big to take shopping etc, so the only time he is in the car is when he is being taken somewhere...walk, vets etc....so he's never left in it.

Dogs being left in cars is a pet hate of mine...seen too many dogs panting for breath on a hot day I think.

Re: Do you leave your dog in the car???

No never had the need to if the girls come in the car its because im going somewher with them that they can come too , such as park , vets , my parents ect so i dont just have them in the car for the ride so to speak . It would worry me with thefts on the rise of dogs left in cars , and heat exaustion

Whenever I am at a competition or on a training course, my dogs will be in the car most of the time they are not working. It is of course all caged out so each dog has their own area, and the doors of the vehicle can be left open on a hot day. You are never far away from where the vehicles are parked, although I accept there is a small chance of dog-napping, I can only ever once remember a vehicle being taken, that was from a competitive obedience show a few years ago.

Same as Jenny really only we use ventlocks which allow the doors to be open and the boot but the vehicle locked as well if we stay overnight the dogs prefer to stay in the comfort of their own car and again we have a ventlock on to allow for fresh air

Re: Do you leave your dog in the car???

My spaniel would rather be in the car for a while than get left at home, shes just happy to come along. Its only ever if we are going local and she usually gets a walk in the forest on the way home.

But would never ever leave her in there on anything other than a cloudy cool day, so much as a hint of sunshine she has to stay home.
