Advice on wonky legs!
Hello, it's me, again! Amy was diagnosed with something similar to CDRM in march. After finding a slipped disk wasn't causing problems, we started hydrotherapy 4 weeks ago. Needless to say, she is so much happier in herself. She lost the weight she put on, and got the zest for life shes always had. The thing is, her back legs aren't what they were. We have tried the trainers you can get for dogs, but she is so depressed when you put them on her, I don't have the heart to make her wear them for very long.
I know the inevitable is going to come sooner or later but I feel a wheelchair would drive her nuts.
She has done agility, flyball, obedience, heelwork to music, she has been to crufts twice and scruffts in London. Shes a boxer x akita x collie, and 9.5 yrs old.
She enjoys short walks and games on the fields, but it's heart breaking when she falls over. She isn't in pain, and toiletting is fine. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or ideas.
