Car sickness
My 5mth old collie x GSD is persistently sick when we go out in the car.
He isn't keen on the car anyway (not surprising really) but doesn't play up, he just vomits about 1/2 an hour into a journey - not every journey, probably 7 times out of 10. People have suggested that he travel in the front foot well, however he is far too big for that. Any suggestions gratefully received ![]() |

Re: Car sickness
I had a dog like this, she was 9 monts old when I got her though. Try going on short journies, and to somewhere fun too. Also try not to feed him before you are going in the car if you going to be in there for a while. I think you an get travel sickness things from the vets, but I would try other things first. Summer (my dog) ended up just dribbling when we were in there, but did stop being sick. It wasn't nice when yo had to get her out, she'd be soaked!

Re: Car sickness
I'll be interested in any replies, Arran who is now two chucks up if we so much as go near a car with it's door open. I tried ginger after hearing good things about it but unfortunately it didn't work with him.

Re: Car sickness
Sorry, I just read my previous post back, I really didn' mean to sound sh!tty, I've not got my happy head on.....
Some people say putting a wet newspaper in the back of the car, there's something in the ink which released a scent which can help (apparently) Sorry again xxxx ![]()
