Pet Insurance

Amber's Insurance Renewal arrived today from Petplan and we get a generous pensioner discount of £12.00p so we only have to pay £492.90 for the year.

Then come the excess:-

Vets Fees £115 +20%
Complementary Treatment £75 + 20%

This makes us so mad, she is too old to go to a new insurance company and they know it, so we are stuck with them whether we like it or not.

Re: Pet Insurance

I've got this thing in the back of my head that there is a company that takes on older dogs.
Might be worth looking at unless there are any ongoing problems

Frenchie is on a distinguished road
Re: Pet Insurance

Wow, this is really expensive!

Did you make a claim recently or does your pet have an ongoing condition?

If you haven't, some insurance do get you on board regardless of how old your pet may be.

Off the top of my head there's Animal Friends and M+S I think too.

Petplan have also restricted their cover for complementary therapies and added an excess for these treatments. This applies on top of your vet fees excess.

If you give me a bit more detail about your pet and its medical and insurance history I may be able to help you switch to a cheaper provider.

Hope this helps
