Question Driving

Do you drive differently when you have your dog in the car?
I drive so carefully when I have my precious passenger, I must annoy so many other drivers

Re: Driving

I always drive quite a bit slower when i have my dog in the car with me , i dont want to upset him or make him dislike the car as so many dogs do.

Re: Driving

Poppy has a crate in the car to keep her safe, good job because some idiot pulled out infront of me today on the motorway not checking his mirrors so I had to slam on the breaks and if she hadnt of been in her crate god knows where she would have ended up!

I don't drive yet but I can imagine me driving ridiculously slow whenever I have my dogs in the car with me LOL

Re: Driving

My dog wears her own seat belt in the car and just falls to sleep, so I tend to just drive as I normally would do - at the speed limits! Lol. I might just ask her if she's ok if I hear her moving about in the back, but normally she's just shuffling to get comfy lol.

Re: Driving

My dogs all have a harness that clips to the seat belts its much safer that way in case you have to stop fast or as once happend to me some guy ran into the back of me while i was at a red traffic light Good job the dogs were in the harness too

Re: Driving

If my son is away, the dogs get the crate on the back seats. If he is here and the amp and sub aren't in the boot then they go there. Otherwise it's one on the back seat in a harness and the other by my feet.
I can't wait to learn to drive and get my own car!

Re: Driving

I just take the corners a bit more steady as kai is in the boot but always sits up in the car, so i dont want him to be bashed about in the back lol but at the moment we have a 3dr mk4 astra hatch and it isnt big enough so i m looking to get a vectra hatch at the moment (as a run about) to give him more space and i am saving up for the new shape vectra estate, but it will be like driving a bus lol
