Re: Raw feeding - didnt go quite to plan.

Ok That I would love to see...offering an extra strong to a staff
Ahh well just ride it through tonight and start afresh when they get over the little blip. Dont beat urself up about this though we all have to go through lots of trial n error when feeding pets, take heart in the fact u where doing it out of their interest so as to provide a more natural and healthier diet.
It could be worse....just think if ud been feeding bakers, bright orange piles of vom on ur carpet

I had mine on Bakers once (before i knew better) Oscar is already hyperactive, it was like giving him rocket fuel. He became the dog from hell.

Thanks for the advice.

Btw, mine would eat an extra strong mint

I did a straight swap; kibble one day, raw the next.

Re: Raw feeding - didnt go quite to plan.

I read a post from a guy on another forum who said his dogs ate nothing but raw meat and claimed that's all dogs needed.

Then he mentioned in passing that they grazed a lot on grass.

Seems he didn't make the connection that his dogs were lacking something from the diet he offered. Don't fall on the meat only wagon.

That's debatable actually.

Just meat and nothing else is asking for trouble.

ive just caught up with this thread, & i cant tell you how glad i am to read this!!!

it must have been very scary, mine usually bring up some fragments when theyve had bones but theyve not been ill, if they ever are it will really put me off giving bones, i actually think the wings & chicken carcasses are the easiest to digest they rarely bring those back.
