Re: Raw feeding - didnt go quite to plan.

Im not sure the origin of the chicken necks. My petshop just sell all the frozen bones and meat in clear bags with no labels. they do sell natures menu frozen stuff, so i might bin what i have and try those.

Im not put off Noushka, i just realise now that i need to go about it in a different manner. I dont want to make my boys ill. Neither of them seem overly happy today, but Alfie gets upset when he has to part with food, so this may be why.

I wont be changing 100% to raw, but id like to certainly introduce more of it.

So raw one day, dry the next? Or raw for a few days, dry for a few?

Ive just purchsed "Give Your Dog a Bone" for £13 from eBay (sooo expensive brand new, especially for a paperback book), so will be doing more research before the next attempt.

Im sure mine will be fine, seems they have got rid of what was making them uncomfortable. Maybe i should have skipped breakfast. They will be happy later, as i will get some chicken for them.

i feed dry one day raw the next, its just what i do, this way i feel theyre at least getting some natural food, but never give them raw & dry on the same day as they digest a different rates, the raw passes through much quicker.

you got a bargain with that book, my cousin borrowed mine about 4yrs ago & ive still not got it back o i was going to just buy another until i saw how much they are now!!

Brand new are about £25-30!

Im amazed at the amount of poo mine are passing. Alfie has had 5 average sized ones so far today.

I agree Christine on the amounts, this is something i really need to read into. I dont want to overfeed.

I might try the alternate feeding once mine have settled. The enjoyment they got yesterday was immense.
