Re: mini poodle

I have a miniature poodle pup called Candy. she is a lovely dog with loads of energy and full of fun. Pedigree puppies are expensive I am afraid but you might be lucky like I was and find a very well reared but unregistered puppy at a more reasonable price.

Re: mini poodle

You could try rescues they aren't so expensive. I'm sure there are some mini poodles there even puppies if you contact the breed rescue. I have a mini/golden retriever mix and she's a great dog.

Re: mini poodle

We've had toy poodles in the past and they are lovely intelligent dogs. I would love another - we've got a five year old Bichon and I would like another Bichon or a miniature poodle. They are very expensive though I agree.

Re: mini poodle

Hi. I would contact some good breeders if I were you. They may have a dog that they kept on for showing that won't be good enough and they may be willing to sell cheaper to a good home. That's what I did when I was looking for a chinese crested, and I ended up getting one for £150 less than the asking price!

Good luck with your search.

You had toy poodles?! I didn't know this!

To the OP i have a toy poodle......as for lovely and intelligent i couldn't tell you right now if he is because he's at his 'naughty' stage right now so i am not finding him lovely at all. LOL But yeah they are lovely animals. I love him but he's gotten so naughty its making me wanna scream

As for expensive...i don't know how much miniature poodles cost. we got Mika, our toy for £550. Ok that's expensive i guess but its not that bad.

Yes I bought myself a toy poodle when I was 21 and he came to my 21st birthday party in a pub. He was an apricot poodle and he was a fantastic little dog so intelligent. He loved his toys and I used to buy him a new one every week - he had a box full of them and you only had to say to him to get a particular toy and he would bring it back. He lived till he was nearly 17 years old and he's buried in our back garden with Judy our mixed breed that we had at the same time. I also had two further toy poodles another apricot and a black one.
