He's doing okay today but is in quite a bit of discomfort
I now know how the dogs ended up in the position of being loose. The guy who owns them does not keep them on site 24hrs a day they are removed from his premises early morning when he opens his scrap metal yard and kept in kennels, when its time to lock up his scrap metal yard he goes to get them leaves them there until in the morning then takes them away again. He was just dropping them off when the incident happened, so he as well saw what happened but legged it because he could not get the dogs to return to him upon command
Makes you wonder why on earth he owned them if he himself could not keep them under proper control
At first my brother was saying that he did not want the dogs to be put to sleep, but yesterday we gave him a severe dressing down saying next time someone might not be so lucky, plus the doctors have shown him before and after shots of his injuries to show him the extent of the damage that was done to him. They have also said, had it of been his son that the dogs managed to attack, he would not have survived.
Sad really as my brother and his family were considering getting a dog before this incident happened, but his son is so scared of them now it looks like those plans have been put on hold until he gets some confidence back

hi nikki really hope he can get over this. and so sorry his son had to witness it, i so do hope that the owner is taken to task over the dogs and that the dogs are put to sleep. it really is time for the laws around dog ownership to change. again im really sorry for what has happend to your bro.

I am really sorry to hear about your brother and nephew.

I hope your brother is making good progress.

As a young child between the age of 4 to 8 I lost my confidence with dogs I even developed a nervous cough if I was in the same room with dog. I wont go into it now it doesn't matter.

What I am trying to say is time is a great healer.

Wishing them both a speedy recovery.
