Keeping dogs busy

Just thought I'd share this tip with you guys.
If I want to get on with the cleaning or watch your fav program on the TV etc and the dogs are a bit hyper or bored I grate cheese across the back garden, they spend ages out there snuffling around getting all the bits
It takes much longer than if I sprinkle their dry food out there.
You don't need much, a little bit of cheese goes a long way
Mine are out there now tails waking having a great time, whilst I eat my lunch in peace.

Re: Keeping dogs busy

If I did that there would be a fight- between the cats and dogs!
Although I sometimes throw a handfull or two of dog food out there. But Dixie just eates it at top speed!

My 2 normally fight over food but because this is spread over a largish area and the little bits are so small they just snuffle away working from opposites end -
And what they miss the birds eat

What happens if they don't eat all of the bits?

Do Cow Plants sprout out of my lawn?

Re: Keeping dogs busy

Molly prefers to "help" with the cleaning!!

She chases the vacuum around with great joy! She also tries to jump up when I spray polish...and when I spray the plants, most of the water gets in her mouth first!!
Everything about cleaning is a game for her, but at least it makes it more fun for me!!

Just out of interest, did u see Graham Norton show? There was a vacuum ( like a small round space ship on the floor) and cats were sitting on top and having a ride around on it!!). U don't have to push it, it just goes around your house and turns when it feels a wall....think I would love one of those!!

Grate idea! Grate, get it??!!

I'll give that a go, but you need to know that your dog isn't dairy intolerant first

Dillon goes crazy at cows so he's definitely dairy intolerant.

"Sorry boy. No cheese for you!"
