uncanny happening

I havnt posted for a while as have been v busy. Recently my dear little corgi had been failing for a while and passed away last Monday in her sleep. Obviously my oh and I were devastated, but took comfort in the fact that we had given her the best 3 years of her life and she was very loved. In the mean time I took in a lurcher which had been abandoned on the road in a poor state, I took him to the Dog Trust kennels as I didnt think he would get on with my feisty JR. They could not take him for a couple of days and suggested I take him to the pound. I just couldnt do this as he had the most beautiful trusting eyes so I said I would keep him in my stable until they could have him. In the mean time I muzzled the terrier and they started walking together, as you can imagine I could not part with this dog who we have called Tod and they have now progressed to running together unmuzzled and Tod is now allowed into the house with no hassle. He is a beautiful trusting dog with no aggression at all which has helped a lot as when the JR growls he ignores him. His health has improved greatly and I cannot move out of his sight. He also gets on with my terrier bitch who was grieving for the corgi. Its as if she is looking down on them and making sure things are ok. I am just so relieved that I can give him a loving home as the vet said he is only young. I do believe things happen for a purpose but the timing was so uncanny. RIP my beautiful girl.

Such sad news about your little girl, but also great news about your new addition.

Re: uncanny happening

You did not say the name of you girl that passed on Jilly!
May she be running free at RB now - and maybe looking down on you with a smile on her face and thinking!!!
I made that happen!
life can be a strange thing sometimes! and these things are made to happen.
Great to read a happy ending - but saddened that you have lost you beloved girl.

Hope this all makes sense
regards
DT

Re: uncanny happening

Yes it does make sense, my little girl was called Gill as she was named when we had her as an ex breeder, she brought us lots of joy and I am sitting here with tears in my eyes but in a sort of happy way if you can understand that

Well Gill maybe thinks that by sending you another that was in need of both love and attention that your sorrow will be eased.
We never ever forget our fur friends - and you certainly won't Jill.
Do you know there is a lovely poem that always makes me sob my socks off!!! it's the one that ends with something like when you put you hand down by you side you can feel my head - because I am still with you - walking by your side where I belong - you just cannot see me!

There may just be some truth is that you know
regards
DT
