Re: Dangerous Dogs Act
hi just read the links and it says Attacks on private property would also become a criminal offence i take it that means if someone breaks in your house and the dog bites them your dog will get put to sleep and the owner fined?

Re: Dangerous Dogs Act
The new act has some HUGE holes that need filling before this becomes law.
It states that any dog that attacks another animal be it dog or otherwise, it would be considered "dangerous". So if your dog killed a rabbit or a rat, then it would be breaking the law. They really need to think about every single aspect before putting this bill through. They've mucked up once already, id hate to see even more dog owners penalised if they muck up again. Just look at Germanys dog legislation. |

Re: Dangerous Dogs Act
it is nice to see that even in the states, there are other countries who view their government that same way when it comes to dog legislation and lining of pockets with money when they have no real clue as to the real world. We have many of the same battles here though not nation wide but there are counties, cities that have banned bully breeds. Even out military personnel are not permitted to own bully breeds if they reside in base housing. To much emphasis on fear with no to little facts to support it.
