Shaking head

Why was my pup shaking her head and scraping her face across the carpet and itching her ear tonight please?. She just started doing it out of the blue. I washed her faced, checked her ears, and she seems to have settled now, but it was quite scary.

Re: Shaking head

Maybe she had a spider on her?
My dog was rubing her nose and face all over the carpet the other day then a wee spider fell off and the cat ate it

Re: Shaking head

As poisongirl has said she could have had an insect on her!
But also it could be an ear infection or earmites even - keep your eye on her! and if it happens repeatedly you need to check it out with your vet

Re: Shaking head

As DT said this is common behaviour for earmites/ear infection.!
Even if the ears look fine doesnt mean they are so keep a close eye

Re: Shaking head

Mine does that if she's been looking for her ball in the nettles. They're fresh and very stingy at this time of year.
