Re: Border Collies

Owning three of these marvoluse dogs id say keeping them stimulated is a challenge in its self, having to turn your door handles round so they cant let them selves in or out, making sure they cant open the tumble dryer door its a constant battle to out wit them i love them and would never have another breed the list goes on and on

Re: Border Collies

Border Collies are wonderful dogs to train, as they are happy to repeat behaviours again and again, and they have the mental capacity to retain information.

There is no training involved in getting a collie to retrieve a ball, they bring it back so you will throw it and they can chase it again.

They do outshine all other breeds in dog sports, with the exception of sports only open to gundogs or F1 guarding breeds, and that because they can't enter.

Wouldn't have thought so, they don't have enough body mass, i was really talking about sports in this county, obedience, working trials, agility and flyball, I'm afraid to my shame I've never heard of log pulling.

no he knows about 1 border collie, doesnt mean he knows about the breed, i have had border colies for over 14 years I think I know what i'm talking about here, he might just have a one off boring collie mine have loads of character, as have ebt's but you cant define a breed going on 1 dog and 1 persons opinion
