And that will be even more likely if at the time they are in the arms of their owner..a pup may also not be very socialised and feel threatened by a "big" person coming so close when they thought they were all safe all cuddled up to their owner...

I agree with you!
Staffies are known as "nanny dogs" because of their patience and soppiness with people and children.
Also agree about dogs that are carried becoming protective of owner, under socialised and fearful.

Very strange for a puppy that age to act that aggressively though isn't it?

I hope your mum is ok

Re: Mum Bitten By A Chihuahua!

My Mum is ok, yes, thank you!

She has got better with staffies and dogs she used to be wary of. I dog sat for two staffies for ages, lovely dogs, and my partner and I also attempted to rehome a rescue staffy x ebt last year. He was a lovely boy, but sadly for us, as a first dog, he had an awful lot of problems that we were not fully made aware of so he had to go back to the rescue. Glad to say he has a good home now.

The experience of him though has helped all of us, as we would not say no to a staffy pup in the future, and are always keen to chat to owners of them when we see them out. They are loving dogs that should be given a chance.....

So yes, Mum will not be favouring tiny dogs anymore
