Did you get any sort of a reply regarding the Akk's yet?

I think it would be great for them to be there. Especially as I am going!!

no i didnt get any reply and im not to happy but i did only send an email and dont want to tread on janet toes as she said she has tried before and as she is the main breeder and been involved in the breed since the first imports but think i myt go there with some info on the AKK and i will ask the organiser why i didnt get any reply and also show peps and see if the wud sign a petition for the AKK to get a Stand ?next year mabe

Sounds like a good idea. You're right about not wanting to step on Janet's toes though. I know she's doing everything she can to make the breed recognised over here. Well, when I say here, I mean the UK, I reckon Ireland will be even further behind!!! As far as I know there's only one AKK over here at the mo! Let me know if you need any help anyways.

Hi Ben,
I have the organisers contact number here for DD Earls Court, maybe you could try ringing her, your main problem will be that there isn't a breed club set up yet for AKK's. Also the other breeds that were mentioned eg teh Bergamasco has been in the UK for along time and was on the import register for a very long time, if they are on the import reg then you would get a stand for them no problem, but as they aren't I think you will struggle.

I personally don't think a petition is the way to go here, letters and phone calls should be enough, if you can get enough owners and breeders to each write a letter, and you can get enough dogs and helpers together to run a stand, then you may have a chance, but you need ot show that you have the backing of enough breeders and owners to do so.

Also the DD stands take alot of organisation trust me we have been doing the Pom stand there for a few years now, it is hard work and an extremely thankless task.
