Re: question about kennels/ dog sitters

I work in a boarding kennels. Puppies have to be at least 12 weeks old. With both injections and kennel cough vaccine has to be given at least 2 weeks before boarding. I do not agree with petsitters at all. How do you know that the pet sitter will be at your home with your puppy all day/night? How do you know they won't go snooping around your home. I wouldn't want a stranger living in my home with my dogs. A good kennels is always the best way. The animals have alot of care and attention, get regular exersize everyday and they are safe and secure.

Puppies have a great time when they come and stay at the kennels i work in, it is a big social occasion, everyone wants to cuddle them and they meet alot of dogs too! Have a look if you wish: - www.barkimber.com.

do u think the vet would give her 2nd vac a few days earlier than 12 weeks old?

otherwise i think im buggered =(
Firstly, you should NEVER vaccinate early.

Kennels will not accept any unvaccinated cat or dog, and quite right s a pet sitter, we do care for kittens and puppies, but our prices cannot compare with boarding.

Re: question about kennels/ dog sitters

I have spent years looking after friends and neighbours houses and their pets and animals sometimes for 4 weeks at a time and have never charged them anything.
