Help my pup keeps pooing in her bed

arrrghh, my house trained pup that never poo's anywhere has recently poo her bed twice sat morning and this morning she was let out before we went up at 11 and i was up at 6.15 sat morning, and 6.30 this morning so not like she'd be in there for hours. Why is she not barking to be let out or holding it.

The trouble is it not even a nice little poo that can be picked up, it like water, so the second set of bedding i've thrown away now.

Any help would be great cheers. It not the best smell to open your eyes to in the morning

Re: Help my pup keeps pooing in her bed

if she has the runs then thats why she is pooing in her bed, she has no controll. Its not her fault. How is her bowl habits during the day?, are they formed and normal or is it still watery? how old is she? Has she eaten something she shouldnt?, have you changed her diet recently?, have you recently bathed her or washed her bedding? (if she is licking a residue from her coat/bed it could cause the runs).

Sorry for all the questions...

If its like water it sounds like the dog is ill, has she eaten something that has upset her tummy? I would take her to the vet if it is still happening.
HOpe she is better soon

Re: Help my pup keeps pooing in her bed

my dog was also like this, she is 8 months old, we where told to give her chicken and rice, and it worked, but she was happy and bouncy, but as other have said, maybe it would be a good idea to take her to the vets.

Let us know how she gets on x

Re: Help my pup keeps pooing in her bed

right after some looking in the garden at her poo and thinking about it, her poo is normal at home in the garden most of the time. But if we're out on a walk if she cant find a bush so when we're walking down a street she panic's and it comes out like water making it very difficult to clean up. My friend find this quite ammusing lol!

Would too many treats also give her a runny tummy ? im sure the pup worries me more than my babies ever did lol!

Re: Help my pup keeps pooing in her bed

sounds like its the change of food to me did you change over immediately? the thing is when changing food its better to put 3/4 of the pedigree food and 1/4 of the new food and increase the new food gradually also treats can give a pup the runs
get an apple put it in the microwave till its all soft and only give one small teaspoon to the pup thats a really good remedy give it for a couple of days that normally works but check with the vet first hope this helps

I would agree with the others t sounds like a illness or food problem. May I ask what you changed her to? It maybe that it does not agree with her some dogs just dont get on with certain foods. One dog I had was very loose on james wellbeloved but others were fine so it might just be a case of finding something that suits her. Is she on dry or wet food? It might be worth putting her on a little chicken and rice for a few days just to get her tummy back to normal.

I have never heard of that shirleystar but I wil certainly give it a go next time I have a dog with a poorly tum.
