Puppy eating cash....
Or at least thats what it feels like!
. We've had Zach 4 mths - spend so far...Food c.£40 a month = £160+ Vets (colitis on Xmas day) = £100 Vets inoculations, etc =£100c Vets current joint issues = £200 to date Hydrotherapy = £125 to date Insurance = £80 Puppy classes = £100 Crates = £100 Total +£965 and then I've easily spent £100 on beds, leads, collars, toys, treats, probably over double, not to mention what we paid for him!! Am I good advert for why people should think twice?!! ![]() ![]()

Re: Puppy eating cash....
About £200-£300, hopefully, but I was totting it up in my head the other day and was shocked at what we've spent.
Not complaining, 'cause it is what it is, but your thread on the lowering cost of puppies made me think about it again.

Re: Puppy eating cash....
You're a very good advert
It always amazes me when I hear people saying they can't afford spaying/neutering etc. I don't think people realise just how much it costs to keep a dog properly. I know I try not to think about it ![]() PS - you forgot wormer and flea treatments. |

Re: Puppy eating cash....
Have you put your insurance claim in yet shaz?? Don't make the mistake I did - when misty was first ill I was going to the vets it was £40 her £50 there which was below the excess! This started in the march - when I put the FIRST big claim in in the September (7 months later) for £2800 they would not pay!!!! it states in the policy that I should have notified the insurers she was ill within 28 days!!!!! OK my comany were the low of the low - but just something to be aware of

Re: Puppy eating cash....
Thanks DT, I notified them about the hydrotherapy, and we have our last injection on thursday, so will probably put the full vets claim in then, as though he might need more x-rays yet, its a case of wait and see for a bit.
Might ring the insurance tomorrow though just to be sure ![]() I hate insurance companies ![]()
