Re: Puppy eating cash....

I know, everything adds up. This is what confuses me about "Wanted: free puppy" ads, how on earth are they going to afford keeping it - the initial cost is nothing really.

We too have spent a fortune on Zach bless they do eat away at money. Have put him on Skinners food now though which is saving a fortune AND his poo is better than it was on Arden anyhow.

Mmmm, Need to find a richer husband first!! I saw a farriers bill the other day. I was gobsmacked! Mind you the farrier has a broken leg at the moment from being kicked, so maybe it was danger money!

Dogs not quite as expensive as children but kinda along the same lines really, except healthcare for us humans is free'ish LOL.

Our pets need accessories just like we do

Re: Puppy eating cash....

I dread to think how much i've spent, even worse when I don't have insurance. Thankfully most i've ever payed is for teh nutter springer who thought chewing on a plank of wood was a good idea, it cost me £80 to have all they splinters removed (I never let him chew it, he was a buggar at 8 months and never brung things back instead he ran off with it).

Re: Puppy eating cash....

It is amazing that still today some people think they can get a pup with no money lined up in case something happens

Dogs are really money-eating machines lol and I would not advise anyone to take on that commitment without some decent savings in the bank...just a little skin infection probably cost us a couple of hundreds with Diego, although the insurance did contribute a little bit...

And of course toys, food, treats, accessories, beds, pet-sitter if necessary, replacement of chewed furniture , training classes... lol i dont think I really want to add it all up

xxx
