My OH has always said he thinks our youngest dog Lilly is a little "special" now I'm beginning to think he may be right.

I often walk Lilly and Zipper along the beach and they jump over the wave breakers as we run along.
However last week we walked along the beach further along than I normally go and walked around a small harbour (I mean very small about 15 small sailing boats mored).
Lilly ran along and jumped straight over the harbour wall
Fell about 12 ft onto shingle and had to swim back to us. (just like to point out she is a 1 year old maltese x and weighs 6lb)

Then this week. She fell in the river on another walk and instead of swimming back to shore she swam directly to the other side and got stuck in the soft mud

I'm dreading what she'll get up to this week

What stupid things have your dogs done and got them selves into a pickle.

Rosie decided that she was going to run into the sea, then she noticed she could not swim back!
Yes you got it, i had to go and rescue her she was 6 months old!

LOL - hope it was a warm day.
I do wonder sometimes if Lilly has a brain, it's the 2nd time she's fallen in a river. 1st time she was only 6 months old and it was quite a fast flowing stream my son had to jump in and fish her out.

OMG - when she dissapeared over the harbour wall my heart was in my mouth, I had no idea how far she would of fallen or if she was landing in water or shingle. As soon as she was safely back I couldn't stop laughing

I took my Drym down to the river when he was 6 years old, we had been there many times before however on this day he just ran off the edge of the river bank and dropped about 12 feet into the river, thank goodness that he managed to miss all the rocks, he ended up in a small cave tucked into the bank of the river he refused to come out then he started howling, the river is tidal so I began to get scared, my ex had to get into the river about 100 yards down where there was a way down, he managed to get to Drym and grab him but Drym was so scared he refused to swim, instead he managed to climb up on to my exs head, Drym is not a small dog at all lol they managed to get back to me and Drym jumped into my arms and refused to move, bless, he looked like a half drown rat, it all ended well, warm tea and hot toast by a roaring fire all wrapped up in my duvet

Aww bless her heart. I think trouble finds her.

LOL - - Sorry this has really made me laugh I just have this cartoon like image of a Drym balancing on your OH's head,.

However bet you were really panicking, luckily Lilly hasn't got herself into such a serious situation. I always say "all's well that ends well". Poor Drym but more poor you and your OH.

Hahaha...I'm glad my Trev's isn't the only one who's a bit "special".

He frequently walks into stuff, head first!! The other day while passing the shops, he walked directly into one of the pillars, he looked up at it, and did a little wuffle, he just stood for a while, I think he was waiting for it to move!! bless him xxx

my old collie x lab Roxy once jumped over a wall.. I had gone to look over it to see what was there (it was a 12ft drop to a flat shed roof) before I knew it she was running up and had jumped over!! She rolled when she landed, then kept tyring to jump back up! She contemplated jumping off the shed but it was Far too hight so she ran round all the sides looking down to see if she could jump.
My friend had to get me to lower him down using the dog's leads and then put her on the lead (on her harness) for me to pull back up then I had to pull him back up too!

Once we could see she was ok we couldn't stop laughing.. And didn't have her off lead at that bit ever again.
