Stolen Puppy - Warning

There was a story on our local news about a puppy being stolen from a garden today.

With the warm weather approaching it is a stark reminder to us all that there are people who do this sort of thing for a living.

As the price of the average puppy soars our little bundles are just too "precious" for their own good.

My thoughts go out to the poor people spending tonight worrying about where there baby is and i for one will be on my guard for these a'#* holes.

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

What a shame the poor family and puppy. Some people have no morals or shame do they?

We have had some freaky bloke say to us twice "you should get that dog mircochipped or he'll get stolen" Very odd the way he said it aswell. HE told he is mircochipped and OH gave the bloke a fake name for him when he asked what his name is because he felt so uncomfy about the questions he was asking! Odd people out there seriously

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

This happens so much around here, all you can hope is that they are the type of thieves that ask for a ransom, at least you can then get your dog back
Are you still going to leave your baby in the car unattended?

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

That's awful!
Even though I have moved to a close knit community, and there is no easy way of getting to my back garden (have 6ft fences, and a neighbour on both sides.. backing onto more gardens wich are also secure.. I Never leave the dogs unatended in the garden, you never know!

Before we moved and had our big foster rotti, I was followed by a young man who asked alot of questions about him.. how old, health, and I replied that he needed daily medication, was castrated and could be aggressive to strangers as he had come from being a guard dog. Also stated that he was tattood and chipped.. The guy left quickly after that. He was reported to the police as apparently he was questioning alot of people about their dogs! Turned out they were looking for him he had just stollen some puppies and sold them

Take your point

I do think it is unlikely from a locked car (unless it's a very valuable dog) but very possible from a garden.

Your dog is very valuable.
How much would you pay to get your dog back?

Unhappy Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

what a nightmare! Poor owners!

Daisy is microchipped but I have even heard of people stealing dogs and cutting their chips out! Grrr!!

Just proves again that there are some truly horrible people out there who will do anything for a quick buck, and you really can't be too careful!

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

We had a JR once that was stolen out of our front garden. We never found her and the police weren't bothered either.
