Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

I had a Lurcher stolen when i was pregnant with my 2nd child. Right from the back garden. I had only popped back in the house to get her ball so we could play then she was gone.

Police had no interest adn we never found her again. Worse thing is i live across from her breeder now and had to tell the whole sorry story to her. I jsut hope shes safe and ended up in a dogs home somewhere and not a puppy farm. she was unspayed as at the time my vets wanted to wait until after her first season 18 months old and she still hadn't had a season.

She will be 9 this year.

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

When I first had Holly I was out with her and a stranger came over to me and asked how much she was worth and are they easy to sell. I didn't feel safe with him around and waited till he had gone before going home as I didn't want him to know which house i lived at. We didn't have a garden at that house so she was never outside alone, but have moved house and do have a garden now.
An old couple friends of ours had their old dog stolen from outside the supermarket earlier this year and it was found 3 days later dead in the beck. They have the person that did it. So they are not always stolen for selling on, there are some even sicker people out there than that.

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

My friend had her gsd stolen from the back garden, he was a very soft dog and would go with anyone, she has never found him, it has been heartbreaking for her, we have no one at side of us , we have 8 foot fences and two side gates the same height both are locked also i have notices up dogs roaming free, im lucky my gsds would go crazy if anyone came over the fence it frightens me to think about it as they would never get out in one piece, and my dogs would take the blame i think, so you cant really win . i do always lie and tell anyone keep asking questions that they will bite should anyone break in house or into garden, they would anyway so not really a lie

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

This happened to my friend, she searched and searched for her dog, and kept searching, then 7months into her searching her dog was dumped at a police station and she got him back, she went through such heart ache when he was missing, as she says he is family, you never give up if they go missing.

Re: Stolen Puppy - Warning

Just been down local shop and theres a sign in window saying, staff x puppy gone missing guess its less risky than shop lifting now adays and with much more profit.Lets hope hes sold to good home and not being used for some thing more sinister.
