Is your dog obsessed...

with sticks!!!

Bailey is! he pretty much always has to bring a stick home from his walks and build up a collection in the back garden.

he usually waits until he is nearer home before selecting his stick of choice so that he doesnt have to carry it all the way round his walk. but yesterday he picked a big one and carried it for 20mins solid without even putting it down for a second until he got home, where its now pride of place in the garden!

it was obviously a good stick!

Re: Is your dog obsessed...

Bless him he must be very proud of his stick!!

I must admit I've trained mine out of stick obsession, I saw a friends dog nearly die when I was a kid cos someone threw it and the dog caught it pointy end down!!! So it's made me paranoid pam for life about them!! Sidney and Cooper would both definately be stick collectors but I give them balls to carry on walks instead to avoid it happening.

Re: Is your dog obsessed...

i do watch him like a hawk when hes got them. and i would never throw them for him to chase. hes only allowed to carry them, aslong as he behaves with them. if he doesnt, he is told to leave it! then he gives me a sad look!

he just seems to like carrying them. he likes carrying his fling ring too. he ignores it on the way to park and doesnt chase it when hes at the park, but he carries it all the way home!!
