Letting go!

My 4 pups are 8 weeks today and their new owners are excitedly turning up to collect them.

I had NO idea how hard i would find this. The first one is gone and the next is going in half an hour. I have just about sorted my make up out after the last departure

I have them going ot the best, well vetted homes but all i can think of is them in their new homes crying for me tonight when the lights go out.

My husband says GET A GRIP!

I have been totally consumed with these pups since the moment they were born it is a huge loss.

Why did no one warn me

Re: Letting go!

Pup number 2 gone.....made harder by mum trying to get in the carrier with the pup!!

well that's it, down to two left. One going on Wednesday and the other staying.

I really hadnt realised how consumed i have been by them and hadnt prepared for this moment mentally although the last eight weeks have been full of continuous visits by the new owners.

thanks for your kind words, i well up just reading them.

Just counting the hours now till my first updates and photos......

Re: Letting go!

((( Hugs ))))

I think this is one of the reasons I could never breed.

At least you know they are going to good homes, think of all the happiness they will give their new families.
And you have given them the best start in life possible.

Re: Letting go!

strangly mums seems really happy! She has come back to life, playing, being naughty and just less anxious.

We have two left, one i am keeping and one who is going on Wednesday. I started them straight away on the crate training process as mine will be coming to work with me i need a good routine established. They have taken to it straight away and are sound asleep in it for the second time today.

The pups seem a little lost but amazing how happy mum looks.

I have had first update.....all is well and no crying as yet
