Question My puppies legs

Hi,

Our 12 week old collie x lab has just started 'flicking' her rear legs out. she seems to have no control over when this happens, as if its a spasm.

It doesnt seem to hurt her when i squeeze her rear legs, ankles etc. but it is a little worrying to watch her.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks
M&C

Re: My puppies legs

There was something very similar on here a few weeks ago, in that instance I believe it was quite serious, so I think you really should go and have a word with your vet if this has been happening for a few days.
The only thing that I can come up with is that your dog has had her feet stung by stinging nettles.

Wink Re: My puppies legs

My boy used to do exactly that, kick his legs out and run arouind the house after a walk, and it was because of stingy nettles and jaggy plants, now we just keep him out of them, well try to, but hes a mad Beardie, not easy.
