In a dilemma...what would you do?

Hi Christine, Sox's previous owner has been e-mailing for updates on how Sox is settling which I thought was really nice of her, This lady is also on facebook and she has now added new photo's of son on her profile and also left the comment " Christine is thinking did she do the right thing" I have e-mailed her asking her if she was refering to giving Sox away. What to do if she says YES? I know I could just shrug and think oh well tough its too late now, but moraly I feel different. I know how attatched to her I have become in a little over a week, we all love her to bits, so I can only imagine how Christine feels after having her for a yr. I would appriciate your advice or comments on this one xx lisa xx

Sorry but she's your dog now. If she gave her up once she could do it again and next time she might not be so lucky to get a loving home like yours. Sorry to be harsh but it's tough she made the choice to give Sox up.

Hi and thanks for the offer of help, itd a bit of a long story but after almost buying a pup from a scam breeder, my children were sooo disappointed so I placed a wanted add on a site, this lady christine e-mailed me and said she had a 1yr old lab x collie female free to a good home. She had split with her ong term partner and had to move to a smaller place or flat.. and so could't take Sox with her. I am in touch with her via e-mail and have added a dog book on facebook so she can see pics of Sox's progress and such. I got the impression she was regretting her choice to rehome Sox, I am sure she wouldn't tell me even if she does regret it and also being in a smaller place she prob couldn't have her back. I just felt really sorry seeing the new pic of the dog and the comment, and wondered, if she admitted regreting it what would I do, offer Sox back..say oh well tough...I just dont want to find myself in the middle of a dilemma. She replied to the e-mail saying it isn't about Sox, but you know when you just have that feeling.xx lisa xx

Re: In a dilemma...what would you do?

I rehomed Holly through this site and if stef (prev owner) had asked for her back i think i would think the same as yourself but i agree that i wouldnt give her back as myself and my other dog Brodie have become too attached and believe she is happy with us!!! and as has already been said who says the previous owner wouldn't rehome again when they realised they were right in rehoming in the 1st place??!?? Hope this helps

If she has said it was about something else i wouldnt worry...but now the dog has a new home and you dont 'need' to continue chatting with the previous owner i would delete her from my FB account.
