No I you are not selfish, I'm sure she loves and misses Sox but bottom line is she is better with you and if she loves her that much she'll realise that. Try not to worry yourself.

Question Re: In a dilemma...what would you do?

Hi thats a hard question!
If you think about the dog? If the lady who gave him up is missing the dog that is understandable is the dog missing the pass owner? If yes give the dog back?
Why did the pass owner give the dog up in the first place, has that changed? If yes give the dog back?
Is the past owner likely to change her mind/situation about having the dog back again? If possibly, keep the dog.
If you can give the dog back and rescue another dog with the possibly taking back the dog again? This way the lady gets the dog and you also get to give another dog love?
So in short, if the lady can give the dog what it needs then the dog goes back! If she is just sad then no, keep the dog!
Any help?

Hi thank you, although she misses the dog, I have seen no evidence of the dog missing her, Sox has settles wonderfully, and we can be here in the day with her whereas she was being left alone in the day for over 8hrs everyday, I don't think Sox would like to go back to that. Also the ladies circumstances have not changed. Thanks for helping me sort through some searching questions xx lisa xx
