getting into agility...

I've been thinking about getting Poppy into agility for a while now, especially now she's 1. What basic level of training would she need to take part? is there different leves of training eg beginnersw, advance etc????

Any other advice???xxx

Re: getting into agility...

Hiya she needs basic obedience, basically sit stay and not running off after other dogs, needs to be good at recall too.

TBH I have been trying to get into agility for the past year and the club most local to us have been wuite ignorant with replying to our emails, their website says contact us and we will reply asap but I have yet to have a reply form them, most clubs runa basic beginners course which seem to be the hardest one to get a place on. But alas we will keep trying I am going to try getting intouch with another club a littler bit further away and see if we can get any response from them.

good luck getting in with a club.

take care
Sarah

Thank You Sarah, I haven't even looked into where I would go, if indeed there are any near here, I will need to work on Her sit/stay, but otherwise she's brilliant!

I'll find out what's in my area before I do anything..... xxxx
