Coming home from a walk

Ok so Dante makes me wonder sometimes he really does. Woody never used to this.

But why is it, whenever we come home from a walk he wants to go outside to the back garden? We've just come from outside? Why does he feel the need to want to go outside again?

Does anyone else have a dog or dogs that do this? I find it so funny sometimes.

Re: Coming home from a walk

Cooper does it to, goes straight from the front door to the back door and out the dog flap! He also has to go and have a wee as soon as he's finished his tea or breakfast..no matter if he's just come back from a long walk it's his routine!!!

it is rather annoying though. i mean we've only just been out - what's the point in going out again?

Re: Coming home from a walk

Do you have the heating on? Sometimes I think Zach does it because he's hot from the walk and needs to sit outside to rest and cool off x

I think they are inspecting their estate to make sure no one has been there while they were out. Ours comes in bypasses his water in the kitchen to go to his outside water bowl doesn't seem to think it's the same water.

I've always put it down to this too - you just never know who's been whilst your away!
On the water thing, my dog would for preference drink from his bowl outside or anything that had collected rain water or muddy puddles, but would turn his nose up at water in dog bowls outside pubs or shops!
