Re: help i'm a new dog owner

I had the same problem..My 2 poodles have a crate they like to sleep in when they are not in the lounge with us..So i went and bought them a lovely new bed to go in the lounge, but they wont use it..But i think i'm winning.lol.
I took the cushion from the new bed and put it in their crate..Now they drag the cushion into the lounge..lol..the next step is, i'm going to put it back in the bed..

Re: help i'm a new dog owner

I don't bother..single or double duvet and a old duvet cover does my lot. Easy to clean, cheap to replace and they love to snuggle. Waste of money spending on anything else in my eyes.

Re: help i'm a new dog owner

A large plastic bed with a nice easy to wash soft bed insert would do the trick, would cost you around £50 and does the same job.
I have always used these types of beds with my dogs and have seen them growl over them so tells you something
Good luck on your choice?

Re: help i'm a new dog owner

Well i'd sleep in that one you've mentioned, it looks gorgeous

My lot all sleep on cheap duvet things (cruel aren't i, LOL) When our Toby was ill and had to be crated for a couple of months, we bought a big crate and put it in the living room for him. The idea was to remove it when he didn't need it. Now nearly 12 months on it's still there and they all seem to like going in that or in the posh (the only one left unchewed, LOL) dog bed by the tv.

Re: help i'm a new dog owner

My two each have a cheap £15 bed in their crates and are happy with that and a couple of blankets ... in the living room we have a double duvet (& cover obviously , lol) which they fight over

spending a ton of money on a bed isnt worth it imo ... buy him tons of treats & toys instead
