PoppyLily is on a distinguished road
Naz is poorly

My OH just rang to say that Naz did a really dark coloured poo (nearly black) when they were out on a walk and now hes just been sick.
I did notice this morning that he didnt eat much of his food but i thought it was because he was to busy noseying at what we were doing (hes a bit like that, if theres summet better going on he would rather be doing that).
Anyway - hes now lying in his bed feeling sorry for himself. Naz has always had really good health - hes never had to go to the vets for being ill.
I don't know whether this dark poo is something to worry about though? what dya think?
I might wait and see what his next toilet is like and go from there!

Re: Naz is poorly

Dark poos if nearly black can be a sign of bleeding from the Upper Intestinal Track as it is called altered blood (maleana)when coming out dark

Re: Naz is poorly

It could well be colitis (Cromwell used to do horrible coloured poos and often just blood) but I think a vets visit is definately recommended to rule out anything worse. Hope he feels better soon.

Re: Naz is poorly

Good job I noticed the space in the title to make it three words before I posted my "So what?" reply.

Hope NAZ gets sorted as soon as.
