Re: Test your knowledge with a little dog quiz

Right here goes
1 ) 101f = 38oc average temp , healthy range 99f-102f ( 37.2-39.2 )oc

2 He had one called millie who gave birth to Spot fetcher bush

3 ) Dewclaw

4 ) Doberman pinscher ( the velcro dog )
Doberman were first bred in Germany around 1890 by Karl -Friedrich Louis Dobermann , when he died in 1894 the Germans named the breed Doberman Pinscher in his honor , but 50yrs later they dropped the name Pinscher because the word in Germany ment Terrier and this was no longer appropriate for the breed.
So cut a long story short they were called Doberman after the breeder.

5 ) Mediterranean and Tenerife

6 ) 78 or 39 pairs

7 ) Alsation was used in the U.S and the U.K as it was not right to use the word German Shepard during or just after the War , but now the common name used today is the German Shepard as the Alsation name has been Discontinued..
The breed was developed by the German Army in the late 1800s using it for a milatery dog in the first world war .The breed was introduced in the U.S and the U.K by soldiers returning home.
