Re: 77lb Dachshund!
Poor guy
His tummy must be so sore! That makes me really sad, how can anyone let their dog get like that? He's clearly unhappy and uncomfortable. I'm glad he's getting the help he deserves. Shame on his previous owners.

Re: 77lb Dachshund!
Apparently reading the Facebook group set up about it, the owners loved him but had dementia and didn't realise how much they were feeding him.
Poor boy!

Re: 77lb Dachshund!

Sad circumstances though of him becoming like that. This is a case of knowing the facts before you judge... I know someone who took on a neighbours westie because the elderly owner kept forgetting to feed the dog. She wasn't doing it maliciously and she loved the dog, but she just kept forgetting. I'm not sure if she had dementia or something similar. Now though, the dog has a loving home, proper care and the previous owner still gets to see her dog every day.
