Re: Dogs for beginners
If your looking for a smaller dog, I would say Cavilier King Charles spaniel, Shih Tzu or Bichon.
All really sweet dogs, most love people and other dogs. The temperment of any dog depends on socialisation and decent breeding. So what ever you decide on research breeders carefully and take time socialising your puppy. Best of luck in your search. |

Re: Dogs for beginners
tbh I dont see why people are always told Border Collies arent for first timers
![]() do the research , know what to expect as long as you're aware they are the type of dog that likes tons of exercise and mental stimulation then there shouldnt be a problem ![]() |

Re: Dogs for beginners
If you really like Border Collies and understand their needs and know you can meet them. Then why not?
I know a BC wouldn't be for me, with working, 3 kids etc I wouldn't be able to meet a BC's needs. However I love the breed and that's why I'll never own one - if that makes sense ![]() |
