Can anyone rehome/help out with a puppy?

A classmate of mine works in a vets part time and they've had a stray puppy brought in.

He's a staffy x and about 2-3 months old, possible a little older. He's tan with a black face and seems to be a very sweet natured dog from what i've heard. He's healthy except from a broken leg which has healed badly and may need amputating in the future if it causes problems.

We've been told if he isn't found a home by Sunday (18th January) he'll be pts, as they're a vets and cannot keep stray animals.

We've all been running around like mad at college trying to find someone who'll take him, we're all asking anyone we think may be able to help. The puppy is in Chorley in Lancashire (I don't know the name of the vets but I can easily find out tomorrow) so if anyone is interested then please let me know!

Also, is there any other ways we can help? Me and my mum really want to take him in, but we're not sure how our dog would react as he isn't generally good with other dogs, otherwise we'd have taken him on in an instant!

I know this goes on a lot in vets, but being so close to him and knowing that he could be found a home so easily is absoloutely heartbreaking. He's a beautiful pup and we just want to make sure that he gets a chance in life.

Oh, and also, I don't drive so wouldn't be able to drop him off with you, so preferably someone local or someone who's willing to make a mercy dash! We've also got notices up at college & on the staff and student intranet where all people at my college can read about him, so i'll post on here if another home is found in the meantime!

Thanks again everyone

Wish I could help. He sounds a sweetie. I'll ask around (we just can't have another dog right now) and keep my fingers crossed.
